Today was a good day, he had found his Wimbourne coach bearable today. It was also a special day, it was his second week that he had been professional. He had spotted his parents, and two sisters in the audience. That seemed enough to fuel his emotions. It was also a Sunday so that meant a huge family dinner afterward. And that made his stomach growl since he hadn't eaten much because of his nerves two pieces of bread. And he could hear his cousins Marcus, Graham giving him such a hard time for not eating well. He wondered where the duo were, if Av was here Falcons were off. Sucking in a large breath as he kicked off the ground. Feeling the air on his face. He had ditched the goggles since it was a pleasant day, warm even before his birthday. Flying around as the opposing team flew out on to the pitch. He heard the commentator loudly say each name of everyone. And he waved as his was mentioned. If he was anymore nervous he would have turned a shade of crimson red. Inhaling the air around him, shaking hands with the opposing seeker. Some German moron by the name of Kal. Last name had to many consonants and not enough vowels to pronounce. But gazing to his chasers below him as the qauffle was released into the air. And than he didn't get a glimpse of the golden snitch for a while. Flying around, away from the other seeker. But looking around, he didn't see it. He heard his own family cheering for him. Which compared to the loudness already. He could tell the different pitches other than that nothing else reached his ears. Below he heard the cheering and the sound of a qauffle and it must have traveled threw the hoops. Still on the hunt for the snitch. Draven heard another cheering and booing at the same time. And than again zooming past him was that golden snitch.
Going after it, he was fast. Swift as the other seeker must have gotten a glimpse of the golden shimmer because he was right next to him. And here it was a battle of speed, he ignored everything else as he zoomed a head. and than the snitch veered off sharply to his left. Which almost made the two seekers collide. But than here was the race, the race that was fast, along with the accompany to have good eye-hand coordination. Not thinking of anything else expect the thrill of catching the snitch. As the seeker next to him began to create a distance. And the movement of the snitch scared him for an instant as the opposing seeker had fallen off his broom because of the random movements of the snitch that was unexpected. And watching the healers on the ground deal with him for a few minutes before he finally started his pursuit again. Within the next half an hour alternate seeker for the opposing team was put in; and by the time the lad had gotten up with Draven. He had had the golden ball within his grasp. And he held it in the air for all to see. And immediately the game was stopped the Wimbourne Wasp all surrounded Draven; the crowd doing its normal buzzing chant. The wasps had won again. Draven’s smile could not have been erased by anything.
Now after the game, it had been several hours residing in the sitting room of the Malfoy Manor with his family, having a tall glass of mead. It was a personal favorite of his over the years. He enjoyed the honey taste and plus it was easy to get a hold of at the Three Broomsticks nearest his former home at Hogwarts. ”What an exciting game Draven.” he heard his mother say, as he beamed hearing it. He was always much closer to his mother than he was to his father. A momma’s boy you could say. But with the five children they really pick and choice. And hearing the door open and seeing Draco in his all black suit attire. He was the only one of the children not to get involved in the Quidditch world, but rather to go into the Ministry. It was a respectable profession. “Thanks mum. Good evening Draco.” Draven spoke to his older brother. Though the pair never practically got along he would have preferred to have lived under Avalanche and Aspen’s reputations rather than the dick of a brother. “I apologize my absence from the game.” Draven heard Draco start, as Draven looked to his sisters. Draven was not excited to hear about his brother’s excuses. Yet he had also missed his sisters first professional cheering matches. But Draco somehow did make time to see other games of all the teams. But Draven though maybe the seeker position might get the pair closer, obviously failed. “Busy day?” Draven asked Draco, who had put his coat on the hanger. He looked much older and mature to his attire, before he came into the light of the sitting room. Draco, and Avalanche both had moved out of the manor. Draven had yet to really show any interest of leaving yet. Sitting there, he put the goblet to his lips and allowing the mead to flow into his mouth and throat. It was time to get drunk.

Avalanche had plans with spending with the family on this amazingly warm Sunday. Between Draven’s professional game, and than dinner. It was going to be a busy night but with Declan by her side it would be a little less boring. Speaking and wishing Draven good luck before the match as the couple snuck off for a few minutes by themselves. “Declan,” Avalanche started as she felt the mans lips on her neck. The pair were like kids back in Hogwarts behind the pitch, where nothing but the green rolling hills were watching them. “Save it for later.” Avalanche whispered to him, just still unsure if anyone was around. “But why?” Declan asked Avalanche, gazing to her neck. “You and I did this before a Puddlemore and Falcons match last Saturday.” he said, Avalanche couldn’t help but laugh. Her whole cheerleading squad teased her, and the team seeker also thanked or rather teased her about Declan’s preformed on the field. “What‘s so funny?” Declan started, gazing into Avalanche‘s face. “It’s about that afternoon. You weren’t on your game..” she said placing her manicured fingers on his shoulders. “Aye, I remember.” he said with a matching smile of Avalanche. “You think you can handle being with me and my family again?” Avalanche asked him, feeling his arms wrap around her. “Lucius likes me. Otherwise he wouldn’t allow me on your arm. ” Declan made the point across to Avalanche who instantly relaxed. Closing her eyes as she nestled her head into his chest. It had been a quick three months. The only people who knew the pair were engaged were family, friends. None of the public knew but speculations flew. Of course some of Declan’s teammates knew but they were the ones that were dependable. Avalanche who normally always wore her engagement ring on her middle finger, today had it carefully placed on her ring finger. Declan had noticed this as he gazed to her fingers. “You sure, you‘re ready?” Declan asked as Avalanche beamed nodding her head in agreement. “What can they really do?” Avalanche asked rhetorically. As the pair began to walk back to the open box, since it was warm. And her father had requested the open box closest to the field. So they could watch everything.
The game had gone by really fast. It must have been under two hours. Avalanche and Declan who stood up the entire match cheering on Draven. Declan had know Draven a little from his time in Hogwarts and plus being Avalanche’s little brother he had taken him out a few times for a few drinks. Giving him advice on everything and Avalanche was so thrilled about the pair becoming friends. Nestling into Declan’s chest when people around them began to file out. “Cold?” Declan asked, just above to remove his brown sweatshirt to give to Avalanche. “No,” Avalanche told him gazing up to him. “I wanted to cuddle.” she told him. Declan who smiled gazing down to her. Avalanche was also aware that Declan could pick her up and cuddle her. Moving her hair out of her face so she could look at him. “Let’s not discus this match at dinner time. Three seekers at the table it’ll be impossible not too.” Avalanche stated to him, Declan nodded his head. “Unless Draven brings it up is the rule.” Declan said to her, as Avalanche nodded her head in agreement. "You're good." Avalanche teased him. Allowing herself to remove herself from cuddling with Declan. Taking his hand as everyone had said to met back at the Manor. It would be Declan's third time as a couple with Avalanche to be at the manor. But as children he would come to the house regularly with his parents. Adjusting her orange dress so it went down further. Gazing down to her ring on her finger; she almost expected a fellow pureblood would have gotten a family ring to be placed on her finger. Though she would live with the modern looking piece on her ring finger.
When Avalanche was out of the stadium, she touched her wand. And with a soft pop Declan and Avalanche appeared at the lawns of the Malfoy Manor. She had instantly seen her father's peacocks and gazing up to see Declan adjusting his clothes. "I was forget how big it is." he said with a chuckle to Avalanche. Avalanche who smiled. "A house handed down, and down through out the men in the family." Avalanche said, she expected Draco to get it. After all he was the oldest of the men. Walking through the fence that was just an illusion as it looked like smoke as the pair passed through it. And walking up the path, and into the house. Avalanche had placed her purse nearest Declan's sweatshirt as he removed it. Avalanche beamed to see the blue shirt on him. "You look so handsome when you dress up." Avalanche whispered as her hands rested nearest the buttons on his shirt. Playing with them as Declan laughed. "You even stated no snogging in your parent's house." Declan stated, Avalanche put a playful frown on her face. "I guess I can imagine how it would be when I take it off." she said with a smile. "Hi daddy, Hi mum." Avalanche said as she saw her parents in the sitting room. And striding across the room Avalanche placed herself in between Declan and Draven. And was surprised Draco was right behind the couple. Pacing a hopeful smile across her face for her little brother. "He'll come around I promise."

Today seemed to be the perfect opportunity for Aspen to get out of the house and hang around with her family a little bit. She had kept herself locked away in her room because of having her heart broken, but that had been quite awhile ago now. Regardless of the amount of time that had passed by, each passing day never seemed to start the mending of her badly broken heart. Aspen Malfoy was a rather strong women, even though she constantly was crying over something; the difference was that she was able to cry for a few moments and then she'd be fine with it. With Viktor walking out on their wedding day, also blaming her for the miscarriage of their baby, Aspen just seemed to lose everything about herself. She hardly ate, talked, got up and walked around, hardly saw the light of day, and most importantly, she never seemed to shed a single tear since the day she was left at the alter. When Aspen Malfoy didn't start crying over something as huge as that it should have sent up an immediate red flag to show that something was truly wrong with the poor girl.
With her youngest brother, Draven, finally playing professional Quidditch, Aspen decided that the game that he was to play today with his team would be the first time that she would leave the house since her disaster of a wedding ceremony. The first few times that she had been asked to go out for some sort of family gathering or eventful afternoon out with friends, Aspen turned it down and just continued to sulk around her bedroom. Today though, Aspen had decided that seeing her baby brother play with his professional team was something very important and that she was going to have to get out of bed sometime to see him play. Deciding that since she was going to finally put her face back out in public, Aspen knew that her outfit was going to have to do her justice. She had already been public ally humiliated by Viktor and knew that everyone was going to be staring at her and people were going to be whispering comments about her to their friends behind her back. This was going to be a big step for the depressed blond, but she knew that it was going to be all about Draven that day, not her.
As she dressed, Aspen found that she didn't know what to wear to her baby brother's Quidditch match. For years, her outfit to every match was her cheer uniform, so she had never worn anything else but that because of her being forced to wear it. This led Aspen to the back of her closet to find a nice dress to wear that wouldn't make her cold, not get her dripping bullets because she was too warm. Finding the right dress, Aspen stepped into it and zipped it up on her own, soon realizing that this would be the perfect dress for the occasion. Trying to see what the weather was like outside, Aspen went over to her window and moved the shade over a slight bit, but soon released it because the outside light was much too bright for her eyes. Since the light was going to be rough on her eyes, Aspen knew that she could sport sunglasses for the afternoon out, but she didn't want any more attention drifting to her than what was already going to. Instead, she decided to sport an umbrella which would both shield her eyes from the sun and the unfriendly glances from the surrounding people.
--
After the match had been over, Aspen of course went to congratulate her baby brother on his big win, but the people around her started buzzing about her former husband, Viktor, and Aspen knew that she wasn't able to be around the people that were talking of the subject. She quickly apologized to Draven and her family, then excused herself from the event and went back home to the Malfoy Manor. Aspen knew of the family dinner that would be taking place that evening at the Manor and she decided that she would rather pick out a new outfit for the gathering rather than just sulking around her room even longer. Knowing that it wasn't good for her health, Aspen decided that maybe it was time that she should start taking steps to healing her broken heart. Perhaps the forced issue of going out that afternoon to Draven's match was the push that Aspen needed. Once she had changed from her outfit that she had worn out of the house that afternoon, she quickly put on her new attire for the family dinner that evening.
--
When Aspen heard her family return home and dinner being placed on the table, she decided that she would join them. Of course her parents and Draven were the first too arrive, she they all had probably traveled together, based on the fact that they all lived together. Whether or not they had traveled home together, Aspen noticed that they were all home now. As she descended the stairs, the blond girl noticed her other baby brother enter the family home and begin to apologize to Draven why he was absent from that afternoon's game. Seeing the disappointed look on Draven's facial features, Aspen knew that it was her turn to finally speak up for the youngest blond child of the family. "Don't apologize for your absence, Draco. You shouldn't have even had an excuse to miss Draven's game. You knew damn well that it was important to him that you be there, as well as important to the rest of us. There isn't any excuse that you can tell me that would change my horrid opinion of your absence this afternoon. And after all that I've been through over the past few months, I managed to spend the afternoon at the match. Next time you miss a match, do not show your face at the dinner table, it's not welcome there," Aspen managed to mutter to her brother, her tone absent of emotion. Of course it was harsh, but Aspen was tired of Draco's excuses for all of the important family events and she had clearly had enough of them. Now it was time to stick up for the family and more importantly, Draven. Speaking of Draven, as she walked past him, she kissed the side of his head, ruffled his hair a little, then congratulated him on his performance that afternoon. "You did well this afternoon, Draven. You should be very proud of yourself. I know that I most certainly am proud of you," she told him.
Then Aspen managed to walk towards her mother and father, kissing her mother's cheek in greeting, then hugging her father to do the same. Everyone had told Aspen that she was a spitting image of her mother when she was younger, but the girl felt that she had a fair amount of her father's facial features as well. Aspen's eyes then glanced to her older sister, as well as the date that she had brought along with her. "Nice to see you again, Av," she said, extending her arms to hug her sister. "This must be Declan," she said, holding out her hand for him to shake after she hugged her sister. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, after all that I've heard about you. I apologize in advance if Draco says or does anything to aggravate you, it's just how he is unfortunately," Aspen mentioned, glancing to Draco as she said it. Aspen and Draco, being once the closest in relation with each other because they had always seemed to get along the best, now could hardly stand in the same room as each other. Most people couldn't understand the reasoning behind it, simply because the pair hadn't ever spoken of the reasoning behind their somewhat hatred of each other. Not even Avalanche or Draven had known of reason behind the falling out of the siblings, but could only watch as they sank their teeth into the other in such a vicious manner.

Draven and the mead together sat there quietly listening. He always liked to hear his father talk about the employee’s of the ministry. There was away about Lucius Malfoy that could describe vermin and make it sound amusing without meaning too. Draven had learned to keep his lips shut when his father was speaking. It was rude to interrupt and plus he was to busy imagining the person he was speaking about. Lucius had mentioned that they looked something like a rat, with a fuzzy hair cut. A low blood heritage though that was assumed by Draven just the way his father was talking, or rather complaining about his office having hiccups. As he explained it the whole room would shake, and Draven again trying not to laugh as he had his hands to his lips. “Father you can always try a freezing charm.” he said to his father before people started to enter. Another mouthful of mead came into his mouth and down his throat. And listening to his father speak, and his mother listen. It was always amazing of how interested his mother always seemed in a conversation. Hearing the door swing open to first see Avalanche and Declan. He had of course approved the fast engagement between the couple. He was also glad that his sister had stopped whoring around, she seemed extremely happy with the man. Draven of course had been begged by Graham to join when the family went out. Draven assumed it was because Graham didn’t want to be all by himself why the couples were off in their own worlds. One on one with his future brother-in-law was made. He of course spend time with him, bonding was important to the family.
Although with this thought he wondered if Declan had tried to bond with Draco. Assuming not because he was sort of the odd man out. After all Draven did not understand his big brother Draco one single bit, there were things about him that seemed meek and swallow now that they were all adults and grow up. Than spotting Aspen, he smiled seeing her. This time he was surprised to hear Aspen chew out Draco, he assumed for the most part he would hear Avalanche’s voice. No one interrupted Aspen to Draco he kept his mouth shut and his mouth on his cup of mead. He agreed with everything that Aspen Zorra Malfoy had uttered out loud. Draven had yet to hear Aspen talk so much in one time in a while. Well before the whole ordeal with Viktor. And than feeling his sisters words toward himself and what he assumed was a quick kiss on his cheek. “Thank you. Glad you could be present to witness it.” Draven said to her, showing her a brief smile. “Allow our dear Draco wrapped up in his insignificant job.” and at that moment Draco and Draven had meet eyes. “Pardon me for being needed in the court rooms.” Draco spoke again, and Draven paid no attention to the man before him. But watching with a curious eye of the two sisters Avalanche and Aspen hug. The pair seemed almost so different in that way but so similar. It always amazed Draven of this theory he had of the two women; who were eventually just like their mother.
Though he always found it funny when Aspen was assumed as the older one with her figure and well over all appearance at times. Or maybe it was the mature attitude or even the attention that Avalanche would get for her party attitude with Marcus. Another curious thought, he was wondering where Avalanche’s two best friends were located; he assumed their own family dinners it was Sunday night. Though Draven loved to have the families all present for the holidays or a birthday. And it was nearing a double birthday party of Graham and Avalanche. Just made it special really. He caught Avalanche’s hopeful smile and replied simply. “When Blast-Ended Skrewts can zoom across the sky.” he told his sister Avalanche with bit of sarcasms.

Avalanche found a lot of amazement that Aspen had been at the game. She assumed Aspen was feeling better. Depression was something Avalanche would battle from time to time but she would hide it until it was a calm day to let it out. She had learned to control it to a degree; which was nice too but when something would make Avalanche sad it would just be worse if that little depression cloud was near by. Lately that little cloud had vanished, it seemed to turn for the good. There was the fact that Declan was in her life and it seemed to have some direction with was completely pleasant in itself. Because Avalanche didn’t have much thought for the future. She had yet to even decide if she wanted children one day; the whole idea of a child in her grasp scared her though she would like to have a little pink let girl, to dress up like a real life doll. This whole train of thought was popped because she had heard Aspen attack with words to Draco. Avalanche who watched the whole scenario unfold. Before she leaned over into Declan’s ear and whispered. “This I promise doesn’t always happen.” she said squeezing Declan’s hand she was trying all she could to make sure the man didn’t feel like an outsider. She didn’t want Declan to feel weird in her families’ house after all this was one day going to be his family too. And he was going to get it all as well. Watching Declan bring Avalanche’s hand to his lips and than he replied in a whispering tone. “I understand, my family wouldn’t exactly gather around for a meal together unless it was Christmas. So you‘re really lucky.” hearing his words on her ear, she smiled looking up to him. Though she couldn’t understand how a pureblood family wouldn’t be tight. Though the pureblood families the Malfoy’s had surrounded themselves with always seemed to value family. Leaning a head on his shoulder. “Good to see you both Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy. Thank you for allowing me to have supper with your family.” Declan said his voice a little louder to speak to Lucius and Nariscissa. And in fact Avalanche loved the politeness of Declan as she smiled brightly at his words. She even watched her father and Declan shake hands, and Avalanche caught her mother smile.
With the hug from Aspen, Avalanche smiled to her. “You know I wouldn’t miss this for the world on a Sunday.” Avalanche said to her sister, a smile still across her sister. “It’s great to see you out and about.” Avalanche stated to Aspen it was a flattering compliment from sister to sister. “And that dress. I so want to barrow it someday.” Avalanche said with a giggle to her sister. “Declan meet my younger sister Aspen,” Avalanche stated to the pair of them making the introductions, and watching Declan shake her hand.. “Nice to finally meet you. I hope it’s nothing but grand things. But Avalanche has spoke highly about you as well.” Declan said with a smile. And nodding looking to both woman before him. “No need to apologize for him. It‘s a quirk of you’re family.” Declan said to Aspen. Avalanche smiled at the pair talking so well together. Avalanche “Let‘s go shopping some time Sis.” she was not about to mention that she was like a stranger for sometime. Avalanche believed that Aspen had every right to be locked up in her room for a while. Of course Avalanche tried to speak to her during that time. Hell everyone at least tried once, Avalanche was good about making sure Aspen had brightly colored flowers in her room, no matter what the type. Just to maybe get a simple smile out of her sister. It was something that Avalanche had began to be in love with fresh flowers especially if Declan bought them for her. That whole incident seemed ages ago, and with the hiatus for Aspen and the little break for Viktor before he appeared in the spotlight again. And this of course irritated Avalanche with every fiber of her body because she would have encouraged the boys to go and rough him up a bit. But no Aspen didn’t want that sort of thing. Avalanche who looked over to Declan, she removed her hand from his for a second but she was ever so glad that she could feel his arm wrap around her shoulder. She was impressed with the move in front of her parents, rather than picking her waist. That could have lead to naughty things, or at leas that’s what crossed Avalanche’s mind. Trying not to allow her mind to go that far in the gutter. But trying to push that out of her mind as Avalanche placed a hand on his. She was trying not to be so flirtatious with him in front of the parents. “Thanks for coming with me today.” Avalanche told him as she leaned a head on his shoulder and to hear his words she could not smile any brighter. “I‘d do anything for the girl I love.” Though she was okay with tossing the L word with Declan because in fact the ring brought up a whole new territory. Rubbing soft circles with her fingers on his. -*-*- word count:: 903 tag:: malfoy's + declan! notes:: woo! location:: malfoy manor, supper time tunes:: she is - the fray outfit:: two becomes one
