the four steps of the game
001a. The Snitch is released. (The seekers will get their first trivia question via PM.)
001b. The snitch looks as followed: *.
002. The Quaffle is released. (The Chasers will get their first trivia question via PM and well as instructions as to their first move.)
003. The Bludgers are released. (The Beaters will get their first trivia question via PM, as well as instructions as to their first move.)
004. The Keepers fly to their goal posts and wait.
seekers game play
001. The seekers have a series of 30 trivia questions to answer before the snitch will be spotted.
002. Only seekers who have correctly answered all 30 of their trivia questions will be eligible to submit the location of the snitch.
003. Eligible seekers will PM the location of the snitch to the admin account, if a quidditch referee has not been assigned. This will be considered a sighting of the snitch.
004. Seekers will have one last puzzle to complete before they can "catch" the snitch, ending the match.
005. There is no time frame for these questions to be answered. For example, all questions can be answered within an hour of the start of the match. Just don't expect the admin reffing the match to sit on their admin accounts all day long. And don't dare beg them to hop on their accounts either. That's an automatic foul. Such a foul will give the other team an automatic win. Plus, you'll lose 100 points from your house.
chasers game play
001. Chasers have an unlimited amount of trivia questions headed their way. Until the snitch has been caught, questions will go on and on.
002. The first trivia question given to all chasers will determine which team possesses the quaffle.
003. The second trivia question determines where the chaser goes with the quaffle. They have a choice of passing to their teammate or moving towards the opposing team's goal posts.
004a. If the chaser with the quaffle decides to move forward down the pitch, they must be the first one to answer the question. If answered correctly and first, they will move 25ft. towards the opposing team's goal posts.
004b. If the chaser with the quaffle decides to pass the quaffle to a teammate, they must specify as to whom will get the quaffle.
005a. If the chaser decides on moving further down the pitch, another trivia question will be distributed.
005b. If the chaser decides on passing the quaffle to a teammate, said chaser must be the first to answer the trivia question. Also, the teammate that they passed to, which will remain unidentified to everyone until all decisions have been made, must answer the question before a beater from the opposing team does.
beaters game play
001. Beaters have an unlimited amount of trivia questions headed their way. Until the snitch has been caught, questions will go on and on.
002. The first trivia question given to all beaters will determine which team hits the bludgers first.
003. The second trivia question determines where the bludgers go. Beaters must choose which opposing chaser or beater they hit the bludger towards.
004a. If the beaters send the bludger towards an opponent and said beater submitted the answer to the trivia question before their opponent, the bludger will hit the opposing player.
004b. If the beaters send the bludger towards an opponent and said beater submitted the answer to the trivia question after their opponent, the bludger will not hit the opposing player and the opposing team will be in control of the bludger.
keepers game play
001. Keepers only answer trivia questions when there is a chaser from the opposing team within 25ft. of their goal posts.
002. When the opposing team's chaser is within 25 ft of the goal post, only said chaser and keeper answer a trivia question.
003. Whomever answers the question correctly first determines whether a goal will be made or not. If the keeper answers correctly first, there is no goal. If the chaser answers correctly first, a goal is scored and the team earns 10 points.
