Jenn and Adrian were back together. Not quite officially but who really needed to officiate the two? They were perfect together and absolutely no one could argue that since they were soul mates and it was obvious even when they were in school together. All of the friends that Jenn had had told her that he was going to propose to her right before she graduated but that didn't happen. Honestly, Jenn didn't care if he proposed or not. She was just happy being with him and most importantly, supporting him.
That was why she was on the Quidditch pitch for the Puddlemere team, the one Adrian played chaser for. Jenn didn't know all that much about Quidditch but she did remember having to watch the games while in school. Being in Slytherin and having dated Adrian, she always rooted for her house team. She hadn't really watched any games since she graduated. There was no time for her. She had been trying to remember to record the games for later watching but she would be too tired after work to even watch the games on television.
Today she decided to take a walk down the pitch and watch the practice. Normally spectators weren't allowed if they weren't family. Adrian was co-captain and Jenn was basically his wife so they made an exception for her. Walking, she went up to the seats and took a seat in one of the front rows. The wind picked up for a moment and blew her hair around her face. She fixed and looked down onto the field to catch Adrian looking at her and waving.
She smiled and blew him a kiss, causing his teammates to tease him a bit. She laughed and saw the trainer come out onto the field. A woman. Jenn remembered Adrian talking about her and called her Katie, Katie Bell. Jenn also remembered that Katie had been one of the best female Quidditch players during their school years. Jenn smiled and watched her take charge of the men of the team. It was nice to see a woman in charge and getting respect for the work she has put in.
*two hours later*
Jenn waited on the field for the team to come out from the showers. She pulled her coat sleeves down over her arms more to keep them warm. She looked up and concentrated and started to float herself. Flying was her way of relaxing but she hadn't done it in so long. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She held her spot just above the ground until the voices of the team broke her concentration and made her go back down to the ground.
Jenn walked over and greeted Adrian with a kiss on the cheek. She then made her way over to Katie. "I applaud you for being able to control those men Katie," she said with a chuckle and waited for the blond to respond as the men walked away together.

Waking up early on a Monday morning, Katie just felt awful. Her stomach was in knots and her head was pounding. The whole pregnancy thing wasn't working for her.
Of course, Katie was thrilled to be starting a family with Oliver, but the whole headache and stomach sickness thing wasn't her idea of fun.
With an early day on the pitch with her team for conditioning, Katie knew that she had to get out of bed. Though, the idea of just laying there all day with her husband next to her sounded much better to her.
Speaking of her husband, Katie didn't know where her's was. He wasn't laying next to her and she didn't hear the shower running, so that meant he wasn't in the bathroom either.
Sitting up, Katie tossed the comforter off of her body and forced her legs over the side of the bed so that her feet were touching the soft carpet.
"Oli?" Katie called out, wondering if her husband was even home.
Slightly chilled now that she wasn't under the warm comforter's protection anymore, Katie grabbed one of her husband's hoodies from the closet before she walked out of their bedroom.
Stepping out of their bedroom, Katie crossed her arms across her chest to help hold in the heat.
"Oli?" Katie repeated.
Hearing a few noises in the kitchen, Katie could only wonder what her husband was up to.
Just as she was about to walk into the kitchen, Oliver stepped through the open doorway and surprised her, causing her to jump.
"Morning, princess," Oliver said.
"Jeez, Oli. You're going to either give me a heart attack one of these days or send me into premature labor," Katie said, her hand now on her chest where her heart was.
"I'm sorry," he said, kissing his pregnant wife. "I made breakfast," he offered alongside of his apology.
"Good, we're both hungry," Katie said, putting a hand on her slight baby bump and smiling.
Walking into the kitchen, Katie looked around. Her kitchen was a mess, but it didn't matter much to her at that moment. Her husband was cooking her breakfast and she was hungry.
Nothing else mattered at that moment.
When Oliver finished cooking, he brought in two plates of food; one for him, one for her.
The couple ate breakfast in silence, sharing loving glances at each other. They both knew what the other way trying to say, just by the looks the other was giving to them.
That's how in love they truly were.
When breakfast was over, Katie helped Oliver clean up the kitchen. They didn't refer to magic much if they didn't need to, just because they'd be able to spend more time together if they hadn't.
Once the kitchen had been cleaned up, Katie went to the bathroom, showered, brushed her teeth, then tossed her wet hair up into a messy bun for the time being.
With her towel wrapped around her body, Katie stayed in the bathroom to converse with her husband while he was in the shower, while he did for her when she had been in the shower. They spoke of their upcoming day, how they slept, and even exchanged a few baby names that had been on their minds.
When Oliver had finished up with his shower, the pair went to their bedroom to dress for their day.
Once they had changed, Oliver went to get their things together, while Katie went to the bathroom and brushed her hair out, then tossed it up into a pony-tail.
She wasn't a fan of her hair touching her neck when she got sweaty when she was conditioning the boys of the Puddlemere team.
As soon as both husband and wife were ready to go, they held hands, then Oliver apparated them to the Puddlemere pitch. As soon as they arrived, Oliver waved at his former teammates, including his older brother, then kissed his wife goodbye.
With Oliver now gone, Katie could concentrate on the men hovering on their brooms in front of her.
"Sorry, boys, but you might as well put your brooms away. We're on the ground today," the blonde spoke.
She heard the moans and groans of the men and just looked at them all. "Just for that, I expect you to run the pitch five times before we start our warm-up," Katie demanded of the team.
"Good morning to you too, Sis," Katie heard her brother-in-law, Cayden, say to her.
"You too, Cayden," she said with a smile. "Now, start running," Katie spoke sternly, putting her bag on the ground and pulling out her water bottle.
Practice lasted a little over two hours and from the looks that Katie was getting from the boys of Puddlemere, they were thrilled that practice was over.
Sure Katie ran them hard, conditioned them roughly, and flew them high, but she knew that they would be thanking her one day. Some of their opponents were conditioned better than them and when the match lasted long, it showed.
If a match lasted a long time, the boys needed the stamina so they could keep up with their opponents. And just as Katie had expected, they were all exhausted at the end of the session.
She was going to have to work them like this at least three times a week now. The schedule for the Puddlemere boys was going to be grueling and Katie needed to prepare them for it.
Dismissing the boys to the locker room, Katie took a long drink of water from the clear water bottle she had brought with her.
While she was putting her water bottle back in her back, Katie saw a female walking towards the team as they went into the locker room.
Tossing her bag onto her shoulder, Katie was ready to grab a shower in the female locker room, then head home to see if Oli had made it home yet or not.
Though, as she started walking towards the locker room, Katie heard her name.
Taking a second to remember what the female has said to her when she wasn't paying much attention, Katie looked at her, recognizing her as the girlfriend of one of her players.
Adrian Pucey.
What was this girl's name though?
Katie honestly couldn't remember. Though, she felt bad that the girl knew her name, but Katie herself couldn't remember the girl's name.
Smiling, Katie responded to the female's words. "Thanks. It's not easy, that's for sure. Especially with Oli not on the team anymore."

Jenn went over to Adrian and held his hand for a moment before catching a glimpse at Katie. Jenn kissed Adrian's lips then his cheeks, one a time before walking over to Katie. Jenn loved being with Adrian. She didn't really like the idea of paparazzi and the daily prophet following their lives but it hadn't really made news yet. Probably wouldn't until their marriage and then until she was pregnant. Jenn laughed to herself quietly as she went over to Katie and spoke to her.
Jenn listened to the young blond speak to her. She laughed when she said that it wasn't easy. "I can see that. But you're doing a damn good job at it," Jenn told her and nodded her head. Oli. Oliver Wood? Jenn remembered the name from school days and remembered him being on a professional team. The few times Jenn had been able to watch games, she remembered his name. Had Katie been a trainer for that long? She didn't look very old. Then Jenn remembered that right before practice, Katie had given him a kiss. They were together.
Jenn's eyes glanced over Katie and noticed a slight baby bump under her tank top. Jenn's eyes gleamed. She wanted to have kids and always had wanted to have kids but the time wasn't now. She wanted to be married to Adrian before that happened. She wasn't sure how to ask but seeing as how Katie probably didn't know her name among all of the other girlfriend names, Jenn figured it'd be a good idea to introduce herself properly.
She put her hand out to Katie for a proper handshake. "I'm Jenn Daniels," she said with a warm smile on her face. "Adrian is my boyfriend," she said, feeling all kinds of tingles and goosebumps just from saying it out loud to someone. Jenn hadn't really talked to anyone since she and Adrian had been together. She didn't really have anyone to talk to. She smiled bigger and looked to Katie. How was she to ask if Katie was pregnant? Should she just let it slide or wait for it come about in conversation? She didn't know so she just stood there waiting for Katie to take her hand.

As soon as Katie had stopped walking towards the locker room so that she was able to speak with the female who spoke to her, she could feel her body heating up.
Practice had been a bit rough, even on herself. Though, she knew when to lighten up the conditioning.
Taking another sip from her water bottle, Katie felt the chilled liquid slide down her throat with ease. The cool water felt nice and seemed to help cool her body down slightly.
All that Katie knew now was that she just need to focus on getting her body temperature down so that she wouldn't continue to sweat and feel even more disgusting.
The female continued to talk.
Katie didn't mind, because she didn't often get to interact with females, unless it was Angie or Alicia. So, even though Katie felt disgusting and gross now, she was actually enjoying the interaction with the female.
"I can see that. But you're doing a damn good job at it."
Katie smiled.
"Thanks, I appreciate it," she said.
Hearing someone actually thank her for the hard work that she was putting into her job was a fairly new thing to Katie. Of course, her husband always thanked her for pushing him to the limit on the pitch, but not many other people had ever actually thanked her.
Not even when the team had won a long and grueling match that they had the stamina for.
"It's not always easy trying to get the guys to work harder than they're used to, because I don't always get the respect that I should from them," Katie said, pausing for a moment.
"Most of them think that I'm this fragile doll or something and that I'll back off when they boycott my sessions," she said.
"It probably would have been easier if I had just signed onto the team when I was offered the position," she said.
"Though, I'm glad that I didn't," Katie admitted. "To much traveling for me."
Then the female told Katie of her name.
Holding her hand out for the female to shake, Katie spoke. "Nice meeting you, Jenn. I've heard Adrian talk about you a bunch. It's nice to be able to put a face to the name."
Katie smiled.
"I hope things aren't weird between you two, because I'm a female trainer," Katie said. Most trainers in the Quidditch world were male and they had a whole lot more respect than what Katie had gotten.
Then Katie noticed Jenn glance to her stomach and saw her eyes light up.
Smiling, Katie spoke again. "About fifteen weeks," she said, putting her hand on her small bump.
Many people were excited about her and Oliver having a baby, but Katie couldn't understand why. She knew why and and Oliver, along with their families, were excited, but she couldn't understand why the fans were.
Regardless, Katie knew that she couldn't wait for the baby to be born.

Jenn smiled largely at the blond. She knew what she wanted in life and that was something Jenn could relate to. Then Katie went on to explain how she didn't get the respect from the team and how she should have just played alongside them rather than trained them. Jenn nodded and made a face that expressed slight disappointment in the men. Jenn knew what it was like to not have respect from males while you've been working so hard.
"I completely understand the no respect thing," she told Katie honestly. "I'm a waitress at Madam Pudifoot's and the men, just don't care about how hard I bust my butt to make their visit go smoothly and they still treat me like I'm sort of prize or piece of meat," she said, heaving a heavy sigh.
Then Katie put her hand in Jenn's for a very short handshake. Katie told Jenn that Adrian had been talking about her. Once again, goosebumps and butterflies got sent soaring through Jenn's body. The chemistry between them was definitely undeniable. Then Katie mentioned something about hoping things weren't awkward with Katie being the trainer and female. Jenn let out a small laugh. "Back in the school days, I know how well you did at Quidditch," she said and smiled brightly at Katie. "I trust both of you seeing as you're here for the same purpose," she said, looking in the direction of the huddle of men. She did trust Adrian not to cheat on her. He didn't believe in that and neither did she. Plus, Jenn had if anything the utmost respect for Katie for being a woman in the game that was predominantly made up of men.
Her eyes glanced back over to Katie right as she answered the question that had been on Jenn's mind. The glow and gleam in Jenn's eyes grew even stronger. Jenn quickly did the math of fifteen weeks in her head. Just a little under four months. Katie looked amazing with that little belly bump. "Congratulations!" she said, instinctively wanting to rub her own tummy. Her and Adrian hadn't even slept together since their re-kindling. There was no way Jenn was pregnant but she really, really wanted to be. She wanted a huge family with Adrian and soon but she knew that being married would be a better start to having a family. She gave a half frown but quickly made it disappear when she looked back up at Katie.
She then remembered that Katie had been on the way to the shower when Jenn interrupted her walking just to talk to her. She mentally slapped her inner forehead with her mental hand as she looked to Katie. "You should go shower. You don't need it nearly as much as the boys but you should," she told Katie with a little laughter. "If you want you and Oliver can come over for dinner tonight with Adrian and I," she said, hoping Katie would say yes. Jenn needed more friends and particularly female ones. This would be a good start for her to get a real life back on track.

As Katie stood there, talking with the female, she listened intently as Jenn spoke.
Katie heard that Jenn had a problem with respect from men at her job as well.
"It's so awful that no one really knows how to properly respect anyone else these days. We shouldn't have to deal with it," Katie responded with.
"But life goes on and we just have to stay strong and trudge on," she spoke.
"Though, I totally understand the whole looking at you like a piece of meat thing," Katie said. "When I first started out as a trainer, I was told that wearing shorts would be best. That didn't last long, as you can see. I think I wore shorts twice, then went straight to sweatpants," Katie said with a laugh.
When Jenn said that she didn't mind her being a female trainer and that she trusted the pair of them because they were on the pitch for the same thing, Katie sighed softly in relief.
Unfortunately, Katie had come across a few of the girlfriends who didn't appreciate, nor like, the fact that she was the trainer and that she had boobs. Most of those girlfriends didn't last long around the guys though, just because they would give the guys trouble about having a female trainer and that they would try and get Katie out of her position. Thankfully, none of them had ever succeeded. Though, Katie never showed affection towards anyone except for her husband, of course.
Hearing Jenn congratulate her, Katie smiled. "Thanks," she said. "It's exciting, but it's definitely very worrisome," Katie stated.
Then Katie giggled a moment, thinking back to her morning.
It was then that Jenn had suggested Katie go take a shower, as well as invite her and Oliver over for dinner that evening with her and Adrian.
"That sounds lovely," Katie said with a bright smile. "What time should be be there?" Katie asked.
It wasn't often that Katie and Oliver interacted with couples that they hadn't been friends with since they were in school. Thankfully, that seemed to be changing.
Post by jennine larissa daniels on Feb 23, 2012 20:06:16 GMT -5
Jenn smiled and nodded in appreciation of what Katie was saying. It seemed that the pari definitely had some common ground to become possible friends on and that made Jenn happy. Adrian, of course, would be happy for her. He knew how hard it was for Jenn to make friends when she was working a lot. That was one of the reasons that Adrian had even suggested for Jenn to move in with him. She was having trouble keeping her apartment because the rent kept going up and she couldn't find a second job. Adrian was on the ball and asked her to move in almost immediately. That was a first clue to Jenn that Adrian still cared for her.
When Katie thanked her and said it was still worrisome being pregnant, Jenn tilted her head slightly. "Worrisome?" she asked out loud. In her head she was trying to imagine what being pregnant was like. Sure, there could be medical reasons why being pregnant could be worrisome. But wasn't it supposed to be one of the most magical things in a woman's life? To be able to carry a child inside of her and grow a bond for nine whole months? Instead of judging Katie with any sort of looks, Jenn simply looked on and waited for Katie's response.
She glanced over at him when Katie said that dinner together sounded lovely. Jenn smiled big and felt her face glow. She clasped her hands together then told Katie to hold on one moment. Jenn felt like bouncing as she walked over to Adrian. She told him about inviting Katie and Oliver for dinner and Adrian nodded and smiled in agreement. Jenn was super excited as she kissed his cheek and walked back over to Katie.
Jenn stood in front of Katie almost bouncing in place. Her excited-ness was bound to be showing through at this point."How does six o'clock sound?" Jenn asked, trying to rack her brain for what time it was just then. She remembered the watch that Adrian had given her to use until she could get her own so that she could make it to practices and games on time. It was three in the afternoon. Should be plenty of time to make dinner. If Jenn was forced to use magic to do it, she wouldn't mind too much. She looked to Katie and awaited an answer from the expecting mother.
Post by KATHERINE PENELOPE WOOD on Mar 6, 2012 9:08:14 GMT -5
With the way that the conversation had been going, Katie could already tell that she was going to get a friend out of the entire situation.
Katie smiled.
This was something that Katie was going to be thankful for. After all, it wasn't often that she had gotten along with the new girlfriends that hung around the team.
Not only that, but Katie just didn't have the time, not the patience, to deal with another jealous girlfriend getting on her case.
Even though the interaction was still brand new and Katie didn't know much about Jennine or her background, Katie felt that Jenn was a decent person; someone that she could enjoy being around.
Then, as Katie had expected, Jenn had questioned her about her worries about being with child.
Unlike the rest, Katie could see that Jennine's eyes were not judging her. In fact, they just seemed to want to know her reasons for worry.
Opening her mouth to speak, Katie saw the boys coming out of the locker room.
Had that much time really passed since Jenn had initiated a conversation?
Regardless, Jenn deserved an answer and Katie was going to give her one.
Looking to Jennine, Katie's smiled returned to her face.
"Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant and all, but there are so many things that can go wrong; especially with my job. I run these guys so hard and half the time, I'm out there with them. And, I've been hit by stray bludgers before, as well as flailing players that are screaming in pain."
Katie paused for a moment before she spoke again. "I guess it's just my motherly instinct wanting to protect my child already or, at least, that's what Oli tells me when I get a little crazy about it," she explained.
After Katie had accepted Jennine's offer of dinner with her and Adrian, Katie had asked Jenn what time had been alright for herself and Oliver to show up. That's when Jenn had told Katie to hold on for a moment.
Katie obliged.
It was then that Katie watched Jennine practically dance over to a now clean and wet-haired Adrian, presumably to figure out a good time for dinner with friends.
It wasn't long before jennine had finished speaking with Adrian and was making her way back over to Katie.
When Jennine was standing in front of Katie once again, she spoke to her and asked if six o'clock that evening had been a good time.
Katie smiled. "It sounds perfect to me. Is there anything that you'd like me to bring? Dessert maybe?"
After Katie had gotten a response from Jenn, she excused herself so that she could head to the locker room for a shower.
Though, as Katie was walking away, she heard a voice behind her.
"Katherine Penelope Wood, promised me that you would never walked away from me."
Oliver.
Turning around, Katie could see her mohawk sporting husband, which put a huge smile across the young blonde's face.
"Oli!" Katie said xcitedly, dropping her bag on the ground and running towards her husband.
"Hey beautiful," Oliver said, picking his wife up and spinning around around once before placing her back down on the ground.
"We were invited to dinner tonight at Adrian's," Katie said excitedly. "And guess what!" she started, not giving time for Oliver to answer her. "I made a new friend today, with Adrian's new girlfriend."
"That excellent, princess," Oliver said to his wife. "Now, let's get my two favorite people home. I need to shower still and it looks like you do to," he said, walking over to Katie's bag, picking it up, then walking back over to his wife, taking her hand in his, then apparating them both back home.
Post by jennine larissa daniels on Mar 6, 2012 14:57:20 GMT -5
Jenn listened intently as Katie spoke with her. It seemed that Katie was willing to open up to Jenn and for meeting for the first time, that was a big thing. Especially for Jenn. She had never been able to make friends very easily but with Katie, it was coming so naturally. Jenn figured that Katie could sense the sincerity in Jenn's comment about being worrisome about the pregnancy.
Jenn heard Katie response and nodded in understanding. Katie's job was very physically demanding and it was completely understandable why she was worried. Jenn didn't know much about that motherly instinct except for when she was a little girl. Her sister had always been the rebel of the family and when Izzy started getting mixed up in the wrong crowds of people, Jenn had so many opportunities to protect her baby sister from men who would try to use and abuse her.
Jenn's mind went back to focusing on Katie when she came back over. She smiled brightly when Katie said that six would be perfect. "I'm sure you know where Adrian lives," she said and laughed quietly. "He kind of forced me to move in with him since I couldn't keep my own place," she told Katie. Then Katie asked if she should bring anything to the dinner. "You can bring a dessert if you want. Can never have too many desserts!" she said and giggled a bit.
Katie then excused herself to go the showers and Jenn told her she'd see her later. As the girls walked their separate ways, Jenn looked over and saw Oliver and Katie together. They were adorable. They seemed truly happy and Jenn was happy for them. A girl as sweet as Katie deserved a guy like Oliver to be her husband. A man that supported her and was willing to start a family with her. Jenn smiled largely as she walked over to Adrian. She kissed his cheek then grabbed his hand as he then told the team that he was going to head out. They made remarks like "don't get too sweaty Pucey" and "Remember protection!" Jenn and Adrian laughed them off as they apparated to Adrian's apartment, their apartment.
---------- * five o clock that evening * ----------
Jenn had just stepped out of the shower, one towel on her head, another wrapped around her body just above her chest. She looked in the full length mirror that hung in the bedroom. She still was marveling at the fact that she and Adrian were sharing a place. She was living with the man she had loved her entire young adult life and she was still in disbelief. She smiled to herself as she turned and walked over to the closet.
She stood with the closet doors open for a few minutes, deciding what dress to wear. Instead of actually looking she decided to go and get her wand. With a few incantations, Jenn flicked her wand and a dress appeared on her body in place of the towel. Jenn walked over to the mirror and stood there, twirling herself from different angles to see how the dress looked. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Adrian standing in the doorway, looking her over. She blushed and turned to face him. She immediately took the towel off her head, allowing her still wet hair to drop down around her shoulders. "Well hey there," she said and walked over to him. She kissed his lips lightly and twirled for him. "How does it look?" she ask, giggling and smiling at him.
"Do I really have to answer?" he said in response and tapped her butt as she turned. She screeched quietly. She turned to him and told him to get dressed for the dinner with Katie and Oliver. He winked at her and went into the bathroom to shower. Jenn loved the relationship they shared and she was also glad that although she really wanted kids, she and Adrian hadn't had sex yet. It's not neither of them wanted to. They very much wanted to. It just hadn't happened for them yet and for the time being, both of them were okay with that.
Jenn flicked her wand in the direction of her hair and let her subconscious create an up-do that was appropriate for dinner. She smiled as she walked over to the dresser and put on some makeup. The hair and dress she would use magic on but her face? Not a chance. After applying some foundation and blush, Jenn put on a light red lipstick and eyeliner. Minimal but enough to make her look a bit more fancy than the last time she had seen Katie.
---------- * six o clock that evening * ----------
Jenn and Adrian stood in the kitchen, overseeing the food that was cooked and now just remained warm in the oven and on the stove. They talked about their day and how Adrian was sure that the dinner would go well since he had known Katie for a long time as well as Oliver. Jenn kept smiling, exciting that they were going to have friends over as their first official dinner get together in their apartment. Jenn asked if Adrian thought it was okay that she thought of the apartment as theirs. He told her he thought she had already been thinking that way. They shared some laughs as they awaited the arrival of Katie and Oliver Wood.

As Katie stood there, telling Jennine of the worries she had for the baby and her job, the blond female could see the understanding look that Jennine had given to her.
Katie was certainly glad that Jennine didn't give her any sort of strange of vicious type of look, because if she had, then Katie was going to have to deal with Jennine that evening at dinner.
That was one thing about Katie, if she was invited somewhere and had accepted the invitation, she never took back her word about it. She always made sure that she was going to show up.
Since things with Jennine were going well, Katie couldn't help but keep the smile that was stretching across her face. Normally it was only Angelina and Alicia that were able to keep her smiling this much, so Katie was certainly happy to have a new friend that could do the same as her two childhood friends.
Once times and locations were discussed, Katie heard Jenn speak again. "Yes, Oliver and I have been there a few times," she spoke.
Then Jennine mentioned that Adrian had sort of forced Katie Jenn into moving into his apartment with him and Katie laughed slightly.
"That sounds just like something he would do," Katie said. "After all, he used to talk about you all the time when he first made it onto the team."
Katie was thrilled to see that one of her players had found love in a familiar place; plus, it was a positive thing for Adrian and Jennine both. The way that Adrian had spoken about his girlfriend when he first signed with the Puddlemere team, Katie thought that they had been together for awhile. She soon learned that they had broken up, but the way that Adrian had felt about Jenn hadn't escaped his heart. Not even after all of the years that Katie had known the male.
When the idea of dessert was brought up, Katie smiled brightly. "Awesome!" Katie said, excitedly.
She was one of those people that liked bringing something to the gathering of people. It was an ultra rare occasion that Katie wouldn't bring dessert or a snack or something to the house that she would be a guest in.
Once Katie and Jenn had finished speaking with each other and Katie was soon rushing to her husband's arms, the blond female was so full of joy, the smile on her face wasn't going to be taken away by anything.
Just before Katie and Oliver had left the pitch and apparated home, Katie heard the guys on the team messing with Adrian and his girlfriend, but in a playful sort of way. "Boys will be boys," she said with a giggle.
As soon as Katie and her husband had made it home, Katie immediately went for the bathroom. "Me first," she said, sticking her tongue out at Oliver.
"No fair," Katie heard Oliver say.
"Too bad, slow poke," Katie said, giggling softly. "Besides, there are two of us and only one of you. We vote that you have to wait," Katie spoke.
"Fine," Oliver said, walking to the bathroom with his wife.
Once in the bathroom, Katie undressed and stepped into the shower once the water had warmed. While she was in the shower, Oliver sat on the counter and talked with his wife while she did her own thing. And once Katie was done, she stepped out, put a towel around her body, then hopped on the counter in Oliver's spot, while he took his turn in the shower.
Once Oliver and his wife had both showered, they dried themselves off and went to their bedroom to dress for their evening out. Katie wanted them to match, so she found a pretty dress for herself and then Oliver found a dress shirt for himself that matched the color of his wife's dress. This was typical of the pair when they went out into public or to some sort of event.
They always matched.
Once they were dressed, Katie pulled her hair up into a messy bun so that it would be out of her face. As soon as her hair was pulled back, she went into the bathroom and hung up the wet towels that she and Oliver had both used.
"Oli, do you mind if I bring the cake I made last night to dinner with Jenn and Adrian?" Katie asked, knowing that the cake was going to be brought to Oliver's parent's house in a few days.
In a matter of days, Katie and Oliver would be finding out the sex of their child and they were going to bring the cake to his parent's house so that everyone could celebrate.
Oliver didn't mind the cake being used for that evening and just suggested that they make a new one when they had the time too.
Katie agreed.
Looking at the time, Katie noticed that it was almost six o'clock.
Rushing back to the bedroom, Katie pulled her hair up into a cute up-do and then put a little bit of make-up on. Once she was finished, Katie left the bedroom and entered the living room where Oliver had gone.
"How do we look?" Katie asked, turning around once and letting her dress flare up a little.
"Stunning," Oliver said.
Oliver's comment made Katie smile brightly again.
Within a matter of minutes, the cake was taken out of the fridge and the pair had apparated to the front of Adrian's apartment building.
Once there, they entered the building and walked up the few flights of stairs to Adrian's apartment door.

Jenn and Adrian continued to talk whilst in the kitchen. The food smelled wonderful and the pair had actually cooked it all by hand. Adrian had offered for them to just wait on cooking it and make it by magic but Jenn told him that because it was their first visitors since Jenn had moved in, she wanted things to be as traditional as possible. That meant as little magic as possible. Even though Jenn had used magic to get ready, she would argue that it was only because she didn't know what to wear and magic was a good decider because it chose her subconscious choice.
As Jenn and Adrian poured themselves a small glass each of water, they heard a few knocks coming from the front door of the apartment. Adrian put his glass down and walked over to answer the door. Jenn quickly straightened out the bottom of her dress and foofed her hair a bit and followed him. She put a big smile on her face when the door opened and she saw a very well dressed, and matching, couple. Katie and Oliver. "Hello hello!" Jenn said as she walked over and took the cake plate from Katie. Oliver and Adrian shook hands and said hello in a very guy way as Jenn invited Katie into the house and into the kitchen with her.
Once there, Jenn placed the cake on the counter and looked to Katie. "The cake looks delicious Katie," she said with a huge smile. Jenn was so excited to have people over as a couple. It was a double date as most would classify it but Jenn was just happy to be making friends. Seeing as how she and Katie had only met a few hours ago, she didn't want to seem too eager and freak Katie out so she toned down the smiling a bit. "Dinner is pretty much ready to serve," Jenn said as she noticed the boys walk into the kitchen. She smiled as Adrian lead the other two to the small dinner table in the adjacent dining room. Well, technically it wasn't a dining room. It was more like another part of the kitchen that Adrian had transformed into a dining area.
Jenn took the food from the oven and stove and set them down in a nice serving manner on the table. The plates and silverware were already set up. Adrian had done that. He was so willing to help Jenn and he was excited for her that she was making a friend. Jenn loved it. As she took her seat and Adrian sat down after her, she offered the first bowl of potatoes to Katie. As the food got passed around, conversations ensued.
Jenn looked to Katie since the boys had already started their own conversation about Quidditch. "So do you have any names picked out?" she asked Katie, with a look of wonder, curiosity, happiness, excitedness, and sincere gratitude for them to be at the apartment. Jenn didn't know if Katie felt anything like she was feeling but she was happy either way that the two girls had started getting along right away.

While Katie and Oliver both waited patiently for the door to be opened so that they could begin their evening with Jenn and Adrian, Oliver winked to his wife. "I love you," he said.
"I love you too," Katie said in response.
No sooner did the pair share their I love you's did the door open.
As soon as the door opened, they were greeted by Adrian first, then of course, Jennine. Smiling the entire time, Katie couldn't be any happier that her night was going to be spent with a new friend and one of her husband's best friends.
Oliver let Katie enter the apartment first, so Katie took a step or two forward, kissed Adrian's cheek softly in greeting. Then, she looked to Jennine with a bright smile.
"I love your dress. I have one just like it at home. I almost wore it this evening," Katie said, after she greeted Jennine with a kiss on the cheek as well.
Once all of the greetings had been made, Katie allowed Jenn to take the cake from her hands and bring it to the kitchen.
Katie followed.
Then Katie heard the comment that Jenn had made about the cake. "Thanks," she replied. "It's one of Oli's favorites," she said with a light chuckle.
When Jennine announced that dinner was just about ready to serve, Katie looked towards the boys. They were in their own little world, presumably that they were talking about Quidditch. "Those two are ridiculous. They play professional Quidditch, practice almost every day for so long, but yet, it's still all they can talk about. You'd think that they'd get tired of it or something," Katie spoke.
"But, is there anything that I can do to help?" the blond woman questioned.
When everyone sat down at the dinner table, Katie placed her napkin in her lap. She wasn't trying to drop something into her lap and stain her dress, that much was for sure.
As the four people ate dinner, the conversation was split into two; the boys and their quidditch, while Katie and Jenn had their own conversation.
Hearing Jennine's question made Katie laugh softly.
"To be honest, we have a list of names on the fridge that we both like, but we can't figure anything out to stick. Though, we find out the baby's gender this week, so we're hoping that that news is going to help us decide and finalize on a name."
Taking a bite of her food, Katie listened slightly to her right, where the conversation with the boys was taking place.
Still Quidditch.
Typical.
"So, how serious are things with you and Adrian?" Katie questioned. "Do I hear wedding bells in the future?" she asked with a smile.

Jenn shook her head politely when Katie asked if she could help with anything in the kitchen. "It's alright. I've got it," she said as she watched the three of them walk themselves into the dining area. The smile that had greeted Katie at the door hadn't left Jenn's face all the while she served the table.
Jenn laughed quietly at Katie's comment about the boys' conversations always being about Quidditch even though they practice and play all the time. Jenn nodded in agreement. "It certainly seems that they can't get enough of it. Which, in retrospect is good since it is their career!" she said and let out a soft chuckle. Adrian paused from talking with Oliver for a moment to place his hand on Jenn's shoulder. She looked over at him and they simply exchanged smiles then went back to talking.
Jenn could hear the boys resume their talk about Quidditch. Jenn turned her attention back to Katie and listened as the young blond female laughed about the list of names they had picked out for the baby. Jenn smiled and laughed with her. "There are so many good names out there and I can only imagine how nerve-wrecking it can be to try to find the perfect name," she said, thinking back to the times that she had planned out baby names for herself. She had never talked about that with Adrian, not even when they were dating back in school. She always thought that it would have weirded him out.
Jenn snapped herself out of her own thoughts when Katie asked a question of her own. Jenn smiled at the first question but the second one that followed almost immediately after sent Jenn's cheeks to a state of bright red. Jenn had certainly thought about marriage with Adrian. Hell, she had thought about it from the first few months they had dated when she was in school. She had never told anyone that she had wanted to marry Adrian. Most people just assumed it would have happened.
Jenn cleared her throat quietly before answering Katie. "Well, I guess it's pretty serious between us considering we're living together," she said and took a few small bites of her food. Her mind was scurrying for a way to answer Katie's second question about wedding bells. She swallowed hard and looked to Katie, feeling her face become very warm. By now her face was undoubtedly a very bright red for everyone at the table to see. "I um," she said and paused for a moment to glance at Adrian for a quick second. "I would love to be married but we're not rushing anything," she said and looked away from Katie to eat a few more bites. Her eyes looked up and waited for her face to calm down, hoping that Katie wouldn't ask Adrian about a wedding.
